My Internship Experience

During my 6-month internship at Eyepax IT Consulting, I worked as a Software Engineer Intern with the Synopsys team. In the initial phase, I focused on building a website for a salon booking system. This project provided me with significant learning experiences, helping me grasp concepts in web development and project management. Following the completion of the salon booking system, I was assigned to the Synopsys team for the subsequent 4 months, working on an ongoing project. This involved creating a workload management system tailored for organizations such as universities. Initially, I resolved issues within the system and gradually progressed to developing front-end features. Over time, I gained valuable experience in backend development, contributing to my comprehensive understanding of full-stack software engineering. Throughout the internship, I had the opportunity to work with various technologies including React Js, TypeScript, Docker, PHP, PostgreSQL, Jira, Spira Plan, Bitbucket, Git Lab, Symfony, and API Platform. These experiences significantly enhanced my technical skill set and understanding of software development methodologies.

My internship was more than just work; it was a fun and welcoming environment. We had enjoyable gatherings, like rooftop kottu and beer parties every month, festive celebrations such as the year-end Christmas party at Galadari Hotel, and the Awurudu festival at Waters Edge Hotel. These events made us feel like a close-knit community. Besides, playing indoor cricket with my Synopsys team every week was a great way to bond and create lasting memories, making my internship experience diverse and enjoyable.
